Muck’nabout the Domain

This set are of scenic ‘lookout points’ from the Domain park area, east of the Sydney City Centre. They are taken from the walk down past the Art Gallery and the Royal Botanic Gardens. I have noticed that, in this set, I have not one single photo with the Sydney Opera House in it – yet almost all who come to this part of Sydney, want that classic photo or view of it with the Sydney Harbour Bridge set as a background. Must  be saying something about me I guess!  What I have noticed though, is that those I did take, were not about the view so much as the over all capture, frame and all . It was the glimpse framed by or through the trees, that
I saw and wanted to shoot.

Mrs Macquaries Point is one of the most sought-after photographic spots in Sydney with views across the Harbour to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It is located on the eastern edge of the Sydney central business district, near Woolloomooloo. The Domain adjoins the Royal Botanic Gardens and is managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens Trust, a division of the New South Wales Department of Environment and Climate Change. It is a popular venue for outdoor concerts, open air events and for large gatherings and rallies.
